#ThrowbackThursday | Gossip Girl

It's official. It's been exactly ten years since the first episode of Gossip Girl graced our TV screens.
Ten Years.
Yeah, I feel old. I remember watching the adverts in the run up to the first season, and making sure I was ready for when the first episode hit. I hooked from the very beginning. The drama, relationships, the love triangles -everything bout this show had me wishing for that ultra-chic life of coolest teenagers on the Upper East Side.

Based on Cecily Von Ziegesar's best selling YA series of the same name, The show was an instant hit across the world. I'm serious. This show was all we talked about on myspace. (see I swear I'm getting old!)

Gossip Girl did a lot for our generation. I believe it had a big impact on social media, I mean, come on, bloggers have a lot to thank GG for. It put Blake Lively on the map for being a total style icon and the actress to watch. It brought us some incredible one liners -I'm Chuck Bass- and of course it brought us Dorota.

But if I'm going to be honest, the main reason we tuned into GG week after week, was the incredible fashion.  Rocking the seasons It-bag and beautiful designer pieces put our school uniforms to shame. Blair and Serena taught me a lot of things about dressing up, and brought me a ton of inspiration along the way.

So, naturally, we need to take a little trip down NYC's memory lane. Expect envy and lust to take over you...

Reading & Leeds 2017 | My Recommendations.

It's almost bank holiday weekend, which means its almost time for the UK's favourite (probably) music festival.

Reading and Leeds is one of the UK's biggest festivals and happens yearly over the course of the August bank holiday weekend.
The thing I love the most about R&L, is the fact that it doesn't just stick to one particular genre. It doesn't matter if you're into rock, rap or EDM -there's something there for everyone.

If you're heading to either of the festival sites this weekend, these are the artists I think you should check out.

Review | My Little Box August 2017

For August, My Little Box have taken inspiration from Western Africa's bold and irreverent wax prints, to create their Wild Summer box.
The patterns are beautiful, loud, powerful and elegant; perfect for summer and the upcoming festivals. Although, I do feel MLB spent a lot of time working on those and not so much what went inside the box. This isn't the worst box I've received, don't get me wrong, but I do feel there is something missing, that it could of been so much more.
I'll let you decide...

Boardmasters 2017 | My Recommendations.

Set in the beautiful surroundings of Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay, Boardmasters is the one of the few festivals that combines live music with surfing, skateboarding, BMX, and some of the best after parties. There's a surf village (basically a little shopping area where you can get great deals on vans as well as other fun stuff) and signings from pro surfers and skateboarders.
This year the #RoxyFitness movement is coming to Watergate Bay for morning yoga sessions, (more info here) and the World Surf League returns for short and longboarders froth on Fistral Beach.

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be there. So I'll be spending the week living vicariously through my brother whilst he works and has the best time there.

With over 40,000 people heading to Cornwall for the festival this week, 2017 is set to be Boardmasters biggest year yet.

I've posted my music recommendations below!
