I found this lovely little Winter tag on one of my favourite blogs, Wonders Of Dreams
I realised half way through reading it that I haven't done a tag in a really long time, so it seemed fitting to do one for this magical time.
- Top 2 Winter Beauty Essentials
Most people probably say lip balm don't they? But I literally use all year round. I more or less use the same products throughout the year, but I do find that I tend to get more spots during the winter months and I use Witch blemish Stick which helps them to clear up quickly.
- Top 2 Winter Fashion Essentials
- Super thick tights and cosy pyjamas- I'm currently loving a pair I picked up in Primark which have loads of little Moomins on!
- What shoes do you tend to wear the most in the winter?
Chelsea boots and high rise converse.
- Favourite Winter Accessory
Earmuffs! And seriously thick mittens!
- Favorite Winter Nail Polish
Not a paticular brand, but I am loving white and mint blue at the moment.
- Hot Cocoa or Apple Cider?
- Favorite Winter Candle?
I don't use candles.
- Snowboarding or Skiing?
I've never done either but I can skateboard and I've tried Surfing so probably Snowboarding.
- Have you ever gone Ice Skating? Are you any good or do you FAIL miserably?
Yes! I love it! As soon as I've got my balance I'm whizzing around all over that ice rink!
- Does it snow where you live?
- Have you ever made a snowman?
Yes. Multiple times. Usually it melts after about an hour though because the snow doesn't last very long where I live.
- What holiday do you celebrate?
- Favorite Christmas/Holiday song?
Fairytale of New York by The Pogues, and Ho Ho Hopefully by The Maine. And of course we can't forget the N'Sync Christmas album.
- Favorite Christmas/Holiday movie?
The Santa Clause, Miracle on 34th Street and Elf.
- What is your favorite winter treat? (candy cane, gingerbread, etc…)
Gingerbread. And I used to love the White Terry's Chocolate oranges that they brought out at Christmas. I haven't been able to find them in a really long time so i think they stopped making them :(
- Do you have anything fun planned for this winter
Not really. Just seeing family. I've picked up alot of extra shifts at work so I'll be very busy this month.

This month My Little Box was filled with cosiness!
You may have read my previous reviews on this darling little subscription box, and I'm so completely in love it, I've decided to keep it up!
I've tried my hardest (and actually managed) to not look at any spoilers, as every subscriber gets the same products. Although, you may get a different shade/colour to someone else.
This month, the theme was cosy! Perfect considering it has just dropped to freezing temperatures here in England.

Pop Punk has been a apart of my life for maybe 10 years now (maybe more!) Some of my favourite bands are classified in the pop punk genre and you could say it's had a pretty big impact on my life.
Back in May I brought tickets to this beaut of a tour, and on Wednesday I travelled the not-very-long distance to Portsmouth for it!
Just a warning -this may be quite a lengthy blog post!

What are you afraid of?
This is not unheard of.
Nothing's how it wasn't always meant to be, always meant to be.
Always meant to be.
I used to be scared, I used to be like you.
I used to care, then I came unglued.
Well, it's something we all have to learn to do.
I used to be scared, I used to be like you.
I used to care, then I came unglued, unglued.
Tonight alive were so perfect last night.
It was my first time seeing them live and I knew they would be good, but not on that level.
The whole show was filled good vibes and amazing music.
They are all so ridiculously talented and now I just want to see them again. I am so in love with them all, it's stupid.

IT'S MY FAVOURITE DAY OF THE YEAR!!
Today we visited an adorable little pumpkin farm hidden in the village of Slindon. They had hundreds of different squash/pumpkins and even made a picture out of them!
I especially loved this little one pac-man ghost shaped one!
Possibly one of my favourite Halloween traditions is obviously pumpkin carving.
Last year I made Jack Skellington this year I decided to go for the more cute-sy kind of pumpkin.
He's got little moon eyes and a big fat smile, and I reckon he's adorable, and I'll be sad to him go.
i made plain vanilla cupcakes, added purple buttercream icing and gave them feet.
they're very yummy.
I'm probably the only 21 year old not going out tonight, so because plans fell apart, I'll be sat inside watching the Scream movies, The Craft (which p.s is easily in my top 3 favourite films) and endless amounts of Tim Burton movies. Or maybe just do an American Horror Story marathon.
But I'll be wearing my cat ears to make it all seem a bit more Halloween-ey.

A couple of days ago, I received my second edition of My Little Box. And it's a good-un.
Last month I reviewed the first ever edition of the UK's MLB and I was so impressed, I couldn't wait to get my hands on the next box.
Each month has it's own theme, and while September's was more of a "welcome-to-all-things-french" kind of box, October sees the Parisienne company teaming up with the absolute icon that is Diane Von Furstenburg!

I've gone a month without blogging again.
I don't know. I've not been myself lately, I won't go into detail.
I've spent some time in Brighton -been to a few concerts.
The 1975 were fantastic as always. I saw them at the Alexandra Palace in London with my brother. My brother had never seen them before and I had never seen them at a venue that holds more than 300 people. Ally Pally holds over 7,000. And they had TWO sold out shows there.
I am incredibly proud of them. Considering the first I saw them was 4 years. they were supporting One Night Only in a tiny club in a corner of Brighton. Me and my 2 friends were the only ones that knew them and the only ones that were interested in them.
Now they're selling out huge venues in the capital.
The following day we travelled to Brighton to see some of my favourites- The Maine. A band who are to ridiculously talented for their own good.
Nick Santino was supporting and it was kind of strange seeing perform solo (I've only ever seen him in A Rocket To The Moon) but was fantastic none the less.
Also supporting was Lydia, a band who I've heard of but only know one song of. They were very good and I enjoyed their set immensely.
A week later we went back to Brighton to see The Vamps.
I saw them supporting Mcfly last year (see here and here) and they have a similar approach to their live shows as McFly do, but with their own twist.
Supporting was E of E, a band who I've seen supporting multiple people throughout the year. I won't talk about them too much as I like to focus on the positives on this blog. I guess I just don't really like them all that much...
Next was Luke Friend. I raved about him on my "Ones To Watch" List and supported him all throughout X factor last year. He's going to go far. I can feel it.
Also supporting was Nina Nesbitt. I know the name but none of her songs. She was very good through and would highly suggest checking her out.
Well this is very wordy and not very picture-y. That's not a word.
I posted a few videos on my instagram page here.
I'm sorry i've been gone. Like I said I haven't been feeling myself. And the blog posts I do write, I delete because I really dislike them.
But October's here now, which means Halloween and an endless amount of Tim Burton movies. So I'm kind of in my comfort zone.
I have a couple of beauty reviews coming up soon! I promise they'll be up within the next 2 weeks!

My Little Box -September 2014
About a year ago, a friend of mine introduced me to beauty boxes. Glossybox, and Birchbox were the two she liked best and therefore, recommended them to me. I decided to try them out and at first I really enjoyed receiving them each month.
However, after about 6 months or so, I started to become less impressed with what I was receiving and I wasn't really using the products.
I still have a cheeky peek each month to see what people are getting from them -but very rarely do I decide to order that months box.
When I first started thinking of cancelling the beauty boxes, I looked online to see what other monthly subscriptions were available. That's when I came across My Little Box.
At the time (this was maybe 6 months ago or so) they only delivered to France and I think a couple of other countries in Europe....now they've brought it overseas to Britain!

I had a day off work Wednesday as well, so naturally it meant a trip up to the capital was in order
A brandy Melville recently opened up on Carnaby and I love their clothes so I had a little rumage around.
After a quick look around Regent Street and a starbucks, we travelled to Camden.
My friends were right of course -I did love it.
I got lost -literally lost- in all the weird and wonderful gothic-y hippy stuff they were.
If you've ever been to Camden, you will know that its basically one massive maze of market stalls. We got so lost we ended up spending about 5 hours there.
If you're into things that you won't find anywhere else, Camden is the place to go.
I picked up some cool, unique bits for myself. And we also found this little photobooth whilst there.
After Camden, we got the tube down to Covent garden to go get some pizza before making our way home.
In all, I had a great 21st birthday. I'm not sure how I made it and I still feel like I should be about 15.
I also still look about 15 cause once again it's the time of year when all the customers ask if I'm back at school or college yet. It's always funny watching their faces when they find out my real age.
To be honest, it's got to a point where I'm surprised if someone doesn't think I'm 15.

It's been about 24 hours since I heard the news that Jay Adams had died. And I'm still waiting for someone to tell me it's some kind of sick joke, that it's all a lie, that he's fine and surfing some big-ass waves somewhere. I don't think that anyone's going to tell me that though...
The second I watched Dogtown and Z-boys I was hooked. I wanted to know more. I needed to learn about these crazy kids from Venice. Their way of life had (and still does have) me obsessed. Then the Lords of Dogtown film came out. Which I've watched more times than any of you need to know.
Jay Adams, yeah, he was the one that interested me the most.
I'm not sure why. But whatever it was, he had a massive impact on my life.
He made me face my fears by picking up a skateboard and teaching myself to skate. Ok, so I'm no where near the best skater -but he made me realise its ok to fall and get hurt, just to get straight back up.
Hell, if he hadn't existed skateboarding probably wouldn't either.
He changed the world when he was still a teenager.
He didn't care about the whole commercial side of skateboarding.
He just had this total Fuck You attitude to that side of things.
I think that's pretty cool. And I also think that's pretty rare.
Especially now. Everyone seems obsessed with that part of life.
I don't want to live like that.
Jay didn't. He did what he loved and his love was enough.
It's not just skating though.
He taught me to be this weird wacky-ass kid and not give a shit what people thought.
You know, just do what you love and not give a damn.
That it's ok to listen to punk music, to pull crazy rat faces, to not be like the other kids.
I hope there's some empty pools up there for you to skate, Jay.
And thank you. For changing my life. For everything.
I hope to live a life full of love and spontaneity, and be as unpredictable as you were.
You crazy kid.

Last night my family and I attended one of my cousins wedding. It was an absolutely lovely evening.
Saw so many family members, some I haven't seen in a really long time.
Everyone was so happy and completely full of love and of course, my cousin looked beautiful in her dress.
Naturally I took my polaroid camera. I think I only took a couple of photos on my phone/camera -most of them were done through this beaut.
I have the instax 210 and it's literally the best thing I've ever brought.
I've posted polaroids on here before, but I've never really mentioned how great a camera it is.
As you can see, the quality is pretty fantastic and I love watching the photos develop, especially when it's at something as memorable and special as a wedding. Everybody loved it and the newly wed couple even took a couple home with them as they were so happy with how the pictures turned out. (I'll do a review on the camera as a whole one day)
It was a perfect evening. Full of good vibes, love and happiness. There were no arguments or disagreements, no problems, and everything was done so beautifully.
I'm so happy for the bride and groom as it seems they were made for each other. And I hope they have a long and wonderful future together.

Last night I finished my watercolour painting of the lovely Hayley Williams of Paramore.
It took me about 6 hours (give or take) and I'm still not sure how I feel about the "daydreaming" lyrics being there but I am still super happy about it. #
Hayley's quite possibly my favourite person to draw/paint and I've done multiple pieces over the years.
I think it something to do with her hair.
I've been super busy at work this week, but I have got a couple of reviews for you all, which will be up over the next 2 weeks.

This week I found my old blog from when I was about 14-16.
I don't know, it's kind of funny reading through it all.
I used to write what I was listening to at the time of writing it (might start that again) and they used to be really short, but it was updated every few days.
I won't post the link because the blogs now private but it is kind of interesting looking at my 15 year old self from a 20 year olds perspective.
Anyway, the one of blogs is just a quote from Dirk Mai. "I don't think everyone sees things the way I see them. Look a little deeper. There's more to it. I promise."
I remember writing that post. I gave it the same title as this one. That quote hit me hard.
The post was written exactly 5 years to this day. Creepy huh? or just a concidence?
I don't know. But it hit me just hard today as it did half a decade ago.
Jeez. Half a decade. That sounds so long!!!
Reading over that old blog reminds how much I used to enjoy blogging. I had no idea how many people were reading my posts -it had no hit meter- but that didn't seem to matter. I liked having somewhere to talk about my day and things that I was enjoying.
Recently, it's been harder for me to write on here. You may have noticed due to my lack of posts. But I like how I used to write and not care if anyone was reading. I know there are some because there's a hit counter. And that's lovely. But I'm going to try and start writing more. Even if it's just to say my week at work was great.
Oh, and I'm going to start with the "Currently listening to" again if thats alright.

Yep, I went back to one of my favourite places, NEWQUAY!
The last time I went was summer 2012, with my cousin Jodie, for Boardmasters festival. Unfortunately, we couldn't go last year, nor will we be attending the festival this summer. Which upsets me very much.
However, me and my mum decided to go for a few days before the schools break up and Cornwall becomes packed.
We didn't stay in Newquay everyday. We did a fair bit of travelling. Driving to Truro, St. Ives, Boscastle and Perranporth amongst others.
I did a ton of skating. The roads are better there than they are in my hometown, and it seems to be more acceptable since pretty much everyone does it. You literally can't even walk around the towns without seeing some form of skater/ board.
We also tried surfing for the first time. It was a lot of fun and I definitely can't wait to try it again. We even met some people that lived very near our town.
There is a photo but I won't post it as it includes people I don't know and I'm not sure they want their faces posted on some blog.
I had a lot of fun and met some really great people who I'm not sure I'll ever see again. But it was lovely knowing them for a couple of hours.
If you've never been to Newquay, well it's like a completely different world. It's not even like the rest of the UK. It holds a ton of really great memories for me. And I love it there. A lot.
And now I'm genuinely considering moving there and just becoming a total surf/skate rat.

My photos. please ask/give permission if you repost anywhere.
If you follow me on instagram/twitter/tumblr, you may have noticed they're becoming somewhat of appreciation pages for these Aussie boys. I would apologise but I'm really not sorry.
The band are currently travelling around the world on their SECOND tour with the One Direction lads.
Due to this they've become everyone's "favourite" and been dubbed a "teen-pop-boyband". But to me their more around the pop-punk mark. Maybe 100% there, but they're close. In fact the album sounds like a mix of music I grew up listening too. I guess if Good Charlotte had a love baby with Busted it probably would have been these guys.
Although, that's probably because they teamed up with some massive names for the creation of their debut.
The album consists of songs co-written by the likes of All Time Low's Alex Gaskarth, Boys Like Girls's Martin Johnson and Yellowcard's Ryan Key. It even holds one the Madden brothers wrote. All of which, if you don't know, are basically musical geniuses. (My opinion anyway)
It's an album that can easily be listened to anytime, anywhere. There's a track on there to suit pretty much every situation since it covers all the fun teenage angsty-ness.
For Fans Of: All Time Low, Mcfly & Boys Like Girls.
Personal Favourites: "Beside You", "Amnesia", English Love Affair", "Never Be"
And after I've listened to it 100 times I might sit down and cry because there is finally a 5sos album.
