Bucket List.

All I've really done for the past few hours is watch a countless amount of movies.
I’m too tired to do anything and I’m too awake to sleep and this is the last full night of 2012 and it’s weird.
This years been amazing but at the same time it's been awful. and I can’t decide if I’m sad or happy about it ending and I have so much on my mind that I feel like my head is going to explode so for now I've written a list of all the things I hope to do in 2013.
I find that a bucket list for the year works better than a new years resolution.
and hopefully the next 365 days will be good to me.

Fairytale Of Hyde Park.

My brother, sister and I took a little trip up to London yesterday to see the Christmas lights and go to Winter Wonderland.
\For those who live in another country, Winter Wonderland is something one of the most famous parks in England puts on every year.
It consists of theme park rides, German markets, ice skating and just pure festive fun.
After trying not to fall over while ice skating and drinking mulled wine, we went for a walk around some of the streets to see the lights.
I'm a BIG Rolling Stones fan, so naturally I had to drag my siblings along to Carnaby Street.
To celebrate 50 years of The Stones, Carnaby Street have themed their decorations around them. And they even have a pop up shop full of limited edition merch. but that was shut which sucks.
Then we went back to Hyde Park to have some more christmassy fun.
Winter Wonderland was fab and I want to go back.

Did I mention I like Christmas?

"It's Only Rock & Roll"

Today I'm pretty sick. So I've been in bed all day. But that did mean I got round to watching The Rolling Stones documentary, 'Crossfire Hurricane'.
I'm someone that loves documentary movies, 'Dogtown and Z-boys' and 'Riding Giants' are some of my  favs, and being a big fan of the Stones, I had pretty high hopes for this.
To be honest, my high hopes were reached and beaten.
The whole thing was amazing and extremely well made.
I liked how they talked through the story, rather than having a narrator tell it.
And there was a lot of unseen footage. And of course an amazing soundtrack to go with it.
Being only 19, I'm pretty sure i was born in the wrong era.
My heart craves for a way of life that doesn't exsist anymore.
I wish I could have been there when The Stones started- Watched them really blow up and grow into who they are now.
But lucky for me, good music has no expiration date.

Sunday Blues.

Tired, cold but productive.
I've got nearly all my Christmas shopping done now and I'm in ultimate festive mode.
I'm going to see the Twilight movie tomorrow with my best friend. Which should be good. As long as she doesn't let me down again.

Sunshine Beyond The Rain.

Original photo: Rolla Coaster Magazine

My day has been spent drawing and painting this lovely photo of Justin Bieber I found on the internet.
I need to trim it and possibly frame it.
I also need to do that for the drawing of Cara Delevingne I did a couple of weeks ago which can be found here.  ( I haven't posted the final piece yet.)
I'm going to try to do more drawings cause I feel like recently I've been in a bit of slump and just haven't been bothered to do much that's creative. So hopefully I'll be able to post future drawing/paintings.

Christmas Came Early.

Moon and Stars Necklace; DIY.

Yesterday was spent at Earl's Court in London. I recieved free tickets to the Ideal Home show and was more than happy to have a day trip to one of my favouite cities.
The entire venue was filled with christmas items and I had to find many excuses not too buy everything in the fashion department.
They had an ice rink, a catwalk and Gino D'acampo was there.
And I found "One Direction".
All in all, a very lovely day out.  Plus I'm in total festive mode.
I swear I'm 19.

"Keep Listening To Music, Cause It Gets You Through Everything, I Promise"

(Photo from tumblr.)

On Thursday, Mitch Lucker from Suicide Silence died in motorcycle accident.
Now, I'm not going to pretend I was a Suicide Silence fan, because I wasn't. I couldn't even name you half of their songs if I tried. However, I know they have a huge fan base. And I know what its like, to have a favourite band, to listen to a bands music and have it somehow save you. I know what its like to have a band become your heroes.
Mitch Lucker was a hero to so many people. He did something amazing with his life and managed to change so many other lives as well.
He left behind a beautiful wife and a gorgeous daughter who he unfortunately won't be able to see grow up.
I can't imagine loosing someone who I looked up too, who I could go up to thank for changing my life, for making me the person I am today. Nor could I even begin to imagine loosing my dad -someone who is one of the most important people in my life and I don't know where I'd be without him.
Mitch Lucker was talented person. An inspiration to many. And from what I can tell, an incredible father and a loving husband.

On All Hallows Eve...

Top; DIY, Tights; Ebay

I haven't posted anything for about two weeks and I don't really have an excuse. Sorry!
However, unless you live under a rock you will know today is HALLOWEEN!
My personal favourite time of the year.
I spent the morning making halloween themed cupcakes and watching Jack Harries blow up pumpkins.
And the afternoon was spent helping my brother make a mess with fake blood and trying out make up for my outfit tonight.
I'll try and post proper outfit pictures tomorrow because I'm running late (as per usual) and right now I have a party to go to.
Have fun trick or treating, partying or whatever you're doing!

Sunsets and Silhouettes.

Jacket and Top; New Look, Jeans; F+F.

I've been a bit busy this week and last week.
Last week my brother took me and my sister to a surprise late-birthday present -to see Michael McIntyre, our favourite comedian, and honestly I don't think I've ever laughed so much in my life.
And then on Monday I took the train out to Portsmouth to the beauties that are We Are The In Crowd -who were fab as per usual.
Yesterday I took a trip down to Bournemouth to see Mayday Parade and The Summer Set.
Neither of those bands manage to fail to put a great show.
Last night was one of the best concerts I've ever been too.
It was a tiny venue -maybe 400 or 500 people- but I don't think there was a single person not dancing and singing along. There was none of those people that turn up to a gig and just stand there texting. Which is the rudest thing to do in my opinion.
Josh Montgomery (The Summer Set) was just smiling throughout their entire set.
And I also got the chance to find out about two incredible bands.
If you haven't already, take a couple of minutes to listen to For The Foxes and Natives

Girl Crushing.

This is the girl I'm currently obsessed with.
Yes, it's Cara Delevigne.
You've probably heard of her. She's pretty big in the fashion world right now -and in the One Direction world but I'm not going to talk about that.
Miss Delevigne (De-Le-Veen) has walked for the likes of Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana and Stella McCartney, as well working with photographers such as my personal favourite, Terry Richardson. (see top photo)
The girl's kind of kooky and weird but cool and it somehow works for her.
Plus I love her personal style. Rocking vintage t-shirts, leather jackets, skinny jeans and of course biker boots -basically my standard uniform.

Reasons Why I Love Autumn.

(Photos: weheartit)

Oversized sweaters, cute hats, bonfires & fireworks, carving pumpkins, orange leaves, moccasins, nature walks, hot apple pie, late night movie marathons, dressing up, toasting marshmallows, the smell of the air (especially in the evening), creating a haunted house, bonfire night, roasted pumpkin seeds, trick-or-treating, crunching leaves, sheet ghosts & toffee apples.

Sunday 23 September 2012

I finally got round to adding new items to my online store.
Something I've been meaning to do for about a month now. So sorry about that btw.
They are all handmade string bracelets.
Please go and check them out. It will mean the world to me.

Corfu Film Diary

The film took a little longer than planned to get developed.
There's a simple reason for that -I get distracted easily.
But here they are.
I haven't used a disposable camera in so long, despite the fact that I'm completely obsessed with how random light leaks and marks get on the photos.
And I love the surprise when the photos are come out.
This was also my first time using an underwater camera so I'm pretty proud with how most of the photos came out. I wish I took one to Newquay with us in August though.
Save to say there will be more film photography from me in the future.
